Even the Boots Have Stripes and Polka Dots!

It was supposed to rain today and I was very excited because it meant I could break out the rain boots!  I bought these at Target a couple of weeks ago and have only been able to wear them once, so whoo hoo rain!  It's supposed to rain again on Friday!!!

It was also in the high 60's today in Ohio, which is very unusual for February, so I decided to break out some spring clothes.  This wasn't what I planned to wear today, but who knows how long it's going to stay nice?

You Really Cannot Own Enough Stripes

I just bought this blouse recently at Loft.  I received a flyer with it in it and thought, "Can't do it...cannot do it.....I own too many stripes."  Then, I noticed it has a lime stripe.  I don't own anything with a lime stripe.  So, justification made, I acquired my new lime and navy striped blouse.  How can you pass up stripes in a new color????  So far, I think I'm spreading out my striped outfits enough that noone has thought to have an intervention.  Maybe noone notices I have a problem?????  Wait, I don't have a stinkin' problem!

Colorblocked and Pleats!

I love this outfit!  I know colorblocking is a "new" trend, but I've always been fond of colorblocked clothing. The skirt is a bonus because it's pleated and I'm a sucker for pleats.  Pleats always look polished and hide a myriad of lower body flaws.  Bouncing through the Limited with my photographer in tow, we found the matching blouse and snatched it up (after coupons, it was $14!!!!)  I bought the blazer either last season, or the season before and couldn't believe how well it matched.  The final bonus with this outfit was it was really comfortable to wear all day.

Stripes, Polka Dots and Sequins

I wore this outfit to church and Chinese school today.  I like all the pieces separately, but together, I'm not so sure.  My earrings are polka dotted quartz.  It's hard to see, but there's actual polka dots etched into the quartz.  I'm still feeling lousy, so this outfit was warm and comfortable.  My photographer today was wearing an outfit completely from Justice and features many sequins and glitter.  Sparkly defines my photographer's style!

Casual Friday

I feel like crap today because of an upper respiratory infection, so I sort of phoned in my outfit today.  We're also super busy at work, so on top of not feeling well, I'm tired.  Oh well!  At least the outfit was comfortable!

Striped!

This outfit actually turned out cute and professional.  An extra bonus, it was extremely comfortable!  I love navy blue and I love stripes!





Over the Rainbow

I hunted all over the web for a rainbow colored blouse.  Why? Because I saw someone wearing one on another fashion blog and became obsessed.  I stalked ebay. I googled it.  I looked at all my favorite haunts online and found nothing.  Then, by accident, I went out to Old Navy's website and low and behold, a rainbow plaid oxford!!!  Snatched it up!!!  Got 20% off on it too!!  Now I'll have to find something else to obsess about!  It won't take long I'm sure!  I'm sure it will be something polka dotted that does me in next time!

How Much Is Too Much....

I was asked a short time ago just how much nail polish my daughter and I own.  I thought about it for a second and honestly, it's a lot.  What makes it worse is, my daughter isn't allowed to wear nailpolish to school, so most of this stuff is mine.  I just love a new color of polish!  I do actually store the polish in this Longaberger basket, so the bottles aren't all over the house. 

Leggings at Work! Daring!

I had surgery in November and I was so swollen afterwards that I had to buy a bunch of leggings so I had something non-sweat pantsy to wear.  Then the swelling went down and I sort of forgot about the leggings.  Then trolling through my closet, I found this top that I've had forever and thought...hmmm...maybe I'll bust out the leggings.  It made a really cute outfit and I got numerous compliments on it.  I guess I'll have to think about wearing these more.

Last Minute Change

This is not what I planned on wearing today.  I ironed a pretty red dress and a matching jacket last night, laid out the coordinating jewelry and woke up this morning cold.  Very cold.  So, now I'm wearing pants, two shirts and a boiled wool jacket.  I'm still cold.  I had to wear something with red today because my daughter's Chinese school is having their New Year's party this afternoon and she's reciting two poems with her class.  Yes, CNY was over about a month ago, but I'm sure the delay is due to some school scheduling conflict.  I'm hoping it's warm in the auditorium this afternoon, or noone will see this outfit because I'll be wearing my coat over it!

Saturday Casual

If I look a little exasperated here, I am.  My little photographer took about five pictures all of her hand before we actually were able to capture this image.  Now I have to remember to delete the hand photos off my iphone, or they'll be there forever.  This is my Saturday casual look.  We're going to my daughter's gymnastics meet this afternoon, so I figured I better actually get out of my pajamas today!

Sparkly

This was a fun outfit to wear to work and it was super comfortable.  I thought of adding the red shoes at the last minute.  I have so many shoes that I forget what I have, so I tend to wear what's on top of the pile, but this time I actually took the time to see what I have to match to my outfit!

Life Should Be Black and White

This was actually my Valentine's Day outfit.  I don't like wearing red on Valentine's day, so I paid homage to the holiday by wearing my locket that hubby Dave and Kira bought me several years ago.  Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Citrus

This is just a happy outfit.  How could you have a bad day wearing happy clothes?  I bought the skirt from Boden USA in the fall and forgot I owned it.  When I came across it a couple of weeks ago, I was just excited as the day I bought it!  I even went out and bought a new pair of shoes to go with it, because honestly, my happy outfit needed happy new shoes!  I love Boden's clothes!  They make colorful, fun and festive clothes that make me happy just to own them! 

My Pretty Butterfly

Here's the latest snapshot of my beautiful photographer!  She's already a fashionista and rocking the fashions from Justice.  Rocker glam is her style right now!

Reasonably Conservative

Color isn't always a friend to accountants.  So this outfit is probably one of the more conservative ones in my closet.  Yes, I own a grey suit.  Yes, I own a black suit.  But I love love love colorful clothes.  I think anything that doesn't make me look like an accountant is good in my fashion world!  I am also working on my work bathroom pictures.  There aren't too many people in the office when I snap these photos, but I'm always so nervous that someone will walk in and think I'm a dork, I rush to take the pictures.  Makes me wish my seven year old photographer got up earlier in the morning!!!

Lime Chiffon

I have had this outfit ironed and ready to go for weeks and for some reason, I didn't want to wear it, until today.  It was surprising comfortable, but it's cold today, so the top half of me was slightly chilly.  My daughter said I didn't smile in this picture (sorry!), but we were trying to figure out what angle to take the picture from and I was thinking about that more than getting my picture taken!  We'll get better!

Stripes!

I shouldn't complain, but I've lost weight since I bought these pants and they were a bit big.  I think I covered it with the shirt, but who knows.  This was my last day this week of wearing capris because it got COLD!

Polka Party

I love love love polka dots and when I saw this skirt on Banana Republic's website, I had to have it.  It's a spring skirt and we're now back in winter in Ohio, but I don't care and wore it anyway.  I don't think I'd wear it with the turtleneck again, but I liked the contrast of the hot pink sweater with it.  My clothing rotation has a long tail (see picture of my overstuffed closet), so I probably won't combine these pieces together until next winter, but I'll definitely be breaking out the skirt again next month.

Dressy

I wore this dress to my daughter's Chinese New Year Celebration.  It was fun to get dressed up!

My closet - yes I have a problem

I love my closet.  I love everything about my closet.  Yes, it is crowded.  Yes, I know where everything is (it's arranged by color).  Yes, I have too many clothes and I don't care!!!

You are my sunshine!

I'm tired of winter.  I'm tired of dark clothes.  I'm tired of wearing coats.  So, I busted out spring clothes with a sweater today.  I can't complain about the weather, though.  It's been in the 50's in Ohio and we could have a bunch of snow on the ground.  I also just bought a new car and my outfit looked spectacular with my car!  Thanks to my photographer, my darling daughter!
