I could not for the life of me get my camera to upload to my computer last night.  I have no idea what I was doing wrong because it worked tonight, but I eventually gave up and went and did something else.

I'm glad they uploaded tonight because I was really worried!

Debut

Today, my darling daughter made her debut performance playing the guitar during church.  She had an awesome performance and has been asked to do it again over the summer.  Not bad for a ten year old!

Happy Earth Day

My daughter is in an after school STEM club (science, technology, engineering and math) that meets once a month after school.  Today, they had a special earth day celebration where they made things from recycled items.  When I picked her up, she handed me a soaking wet cheesecloth with very wet handmade paper on top of it.  Keep in mind, I'm dressed in a suit while this is being handed to me (see second set of pictures).  I looked at one of her friend's moms and asked what the heck do I do with this thing.  She recommended putting it in the trunk.  Her son got to put his in the art room to dry (lucky her!) It is still in the trunk until it dries because what on earth do you do with wet cheesecloth with handmade wet paper on it?

Happy Easter

Happy Easter from my family to yours!

It was a giant nightmare to get these people to smile for a family photo.  I forewarned them that we were doing this today and the level of complaints for the smallest member of our family was off the charts unacceptable.  I used a guilt tactic on her and told her that you never know when all you're going to have left to remember someone by is their picture, so get in the picture and stop your grousing.  You wouldn't think it would be this hard to pin these people down.

Baa Baa Black Sheep

When I was putting together this outfit for work, I had a really difficult time finding a blazer that matched the black in my dress.  Who would think that there's variations of black, but there are.  The dress is linen and I don't own any linen blazers because honestly, I despise linen.  It wrinkles too quickly and then you wind up looking like a rumpled mess all day.  However, the dress held up pretty well, which is a good thing because it would be in the donate pile had it not performed up to my expectations!

Lace Collar

I debated on whether to wear this blouse with my lilac sweater because I didn't want to look like an Easter egg.  I may be kidding myself, but I think the chambray pants toned it down a lot.  At least I hope they did!
