This skirt always reminds me of my grandmother. She had the coolest drink glasses that were narrow at the bottom and widened at the top and had red stripes around the bottom. They were probably from the '40's or the '50's and were real glass, so we weren't allowed to drink out of them. She also had these really cool aluminum glasses that we were allowed to drink out of and she'd always have a supply of Hawaiian punch ice cubes on hand for when we came over. We'd put them in the cups and chop them up with forks. I spent quite a bit of time at my grandparent's house growing up, so I ate a lot of Hawaiian punch ice cubes.
I haven't fit in this skirt for a couple of years, but I just couldn't get rid of it. I tried it on this weekend and it fit again! I'm glad I didn't get rid of it because it just makes me smile when I see it and brings back happy memories of my childhood.
The last picture should be titled "who wore it better" my daughter, or my Jenny Craig consultant. Both own the exact same pair of shoes from Target!
