You would not believe the amount of effort it took today to get this picture taken. Kira was particularly in a mood this morning and while Dave tried to take this, she kept hopping into the shot, holding up her hand in front of the camera and generally being a giant pain. That is probably also the reason for my exasperated look. I also ran out of Diet Coke last night and had raced to the convenience store right before this picture so I wouldn't have a caffeine headache during church. Sad, but true.
We spent a chunk of this morning making "star" campaign brochures for Kira's mayoral campaign. We're running out in a couple of minutes to buy the class pencils for the actual election Tuesday. Then, I have to make Kira think about what she wants to say for her final campaign speech. It's been a lot of work, but I'm proud of the effort she's put into this campaign. It's interesting that we live in a major swing state for the presidential election and all we care about in this household is the Bishop Leibold third grade mayoral race.
Such is life!
Smiles!
