When I was a kid, Ohio had some pretty bad winters, but for most of my adult life, we haven't been hit with too bad of weather. Until this year. This year, we've had snowstorm after snowstorm and new things called "polar vortexes", which is just fancy talk for it's freakin' cold outside. It snowed last night just enough to be annoying and we're supposed to get another one to three inches tonight. And then....negative 12 as the actual overnight temp Monday into Tuesday. That's not right. My husband made a comment last night that it was no coincidence that the movie The Shining was set in a remote, snowy, cold location, because this weather could drive a person insane.
