Chicken Legs

I may have mentioned I only own two pairs of shorts.  This is the reason why - chicken white legs.  I didn't used to have chicken legs - it seems to be something that's happened as I got older.  I busted out the shorts because it's going to be about 105 degrees today.  Yuck.

 I LOVE this watch. It's a full sized Timex Weekender and you can buy additional bands to switch out the look.  I just picked this band up at Target last night!!

I also bought these bangles at Target last night. They reminded me of a much more expensive version from Pandora, but these were cheap!

 Here's my hubby.  I asked him to take a better picture of me while we were waiting for Kira to get out of her guitar lessons.  This is what the smarty pants did.  I warned him I was putting it on my blog.

Phew - It is HOT

It is soooo verrrrry hot outside, but it was once again freezing in our building.  There's gotta be some sort of middle ground we can reach with the temperature inside.  I guess I shouldn't complain.

I didn't come up with this outfit by myself.  I gained inspiration from the Atlantic-Pacific blog for this. 

Sorority Girl

I actually am a sorority girl.  Go Phi Mu!

The company I work for decided to give us an extra casual day this week as a morale builder.  SWEET, but I plan my outfits over the weekend, so I wasn't prepared for the extra casual day.  So, this is what I came up with.

It is about a hundred degrees outside (literally) today, so the sweater made sense in the building, but not so much outside of it.  I promptly changed into short sleeves after picking Kira up from daycare. The sweater drove me nuts all day, too, because it kept riding up.

I don't like dressing for holidays, so I drug out the neon today.  We're keeping it very low key and indoors today because Kira's asthma has been acting up and we don't want to exacerbate it by going outside.  So, they are currently playing Uno and we're going to an indoor playland later today.  Hurray go karts!  I just hope Kira's tall enough to go on them because I'm feeling like racing today.

Lifesaver - Variety Pack

All day long, I was trying to figure out what my outfit reminded me of.  Then, walking into the doctor's office it hit me - lifesavers variety pack. You know, the ones with the lemon, orange, red, and green candies?  Yep, that's me.

 At the end of the day, I accidentally broke my bracelet trying to open a door. I think I can fix it, but one of the orange balls isn't repairable.  Bummer.

My Attempt To Toughen My Look

When I was putting together this outfit over the weekend, I decided it was just a tad too sweet.  I'm usually a very girly girl, but I decided to "toughen" the look within my comfort zone by adding a denim jacket.  It had the added benefit of keeping me toasty in the air conditioning.  I do work in accounting management, so I can't get too wild at work!

This is what I looked like without the jacket.  I saw my mom after work and she said the sleeves looked a little Cinderella like on the shirt.  I'm cool with that.

The whole outfit had the added benefit of consisting of things I've had in my closet forever with the addition of the red blouse, which I bought off eBay. 

The Dog is Winning

She looks innocent enough, but lurking behind those adorable eyes is a monster manipulator and a milkbone addict.  She understands just exactly how cute she needs to look to get what she wants and I, her person, fall for it each and every time. 

Dave had to get up early this morning to do some work and he apologized for that when he went to bed last night since I'm a light sleeper.  Thanks to Misha, we were up about 20 minutes before him to go on our morning milkbone run.  And of course, the dog goes BACK to sleep after getting her milkbone.

You would not believe how difficult it was to get her to sit still for this picture.  Thanks to Kira for bribing her with a milkbone to get her to sit still so I could snap this shot. 

I haven't been feeling well this weekend, so this outfit is about all I have in me this morning.  I think I caught a stomach bug from a coworker.  I'm on the mend, but I'm still feeling a bit off.  I didn't have the energy to think through a necklace that would complement the low neckline, so I gave up and stacked some vintage bracelets and then found my favorite giraffe flats.  It will just have to do for today and at least I got out of my pajamas.
