So Simple

 

My outfit today was a sweater from J Crew and a mesh shell that I bought last year from Banana Republic and had no idea what to wear it with so it sat in my closet until now. I thought my outfit was kind of plain, especially in my world of color, so I was kind of amazed at the number of compliments I received. Even my mom complimented it!  I just bought the penny loafers Monday and they are amazingly comfortable.  I've had three foot surgeries, so my fancy shoes days are pretty much over, but I don't want to wear old maid shoes quite yet, so I'm always pleased when I find a shoe that is wearable all day,  yet still looks nice.

White Pants Black Dog Don't Mix

 I am eating breakfast at home this morning because I'm taking my daughter to daycare this morning and our border collie keeps rubbing against my leg in search of any cereal that may have dropped.  It's driving me nuts because she's shedding and my were white pants are covered in black dog fur. Yuck.  What a way to start the day.  She's also staring at me, which is a bit disconcerting at 5:55 a.m.  I keep telling her to quit it, but she isn't quite understanding me.

I'm hoping I also don't regret my outfit choice today.  It's supposed to be really hot.
