Neon Shoes

I just bought this floral shirt on sale at J Crew and when it arrived, I ran to my closet and pulled out my neon peach blazer to see if it matched.  While I was inwardly patting myself on the back for the combo, I happened to look down and see these shoes sitting on the floor and noticed the neon in the shoes matched the rest of the outfit in my hand.  Yes, it had to happen.  Over the top....absolutely.  Was I happy?  Yes.

Look Behind You

I went into our backyard this morning to take this shot and when I was setting up the next shot, I looked over into the neighbor's yard and saw their dog sitting on their picnic table, staring at me.
You can see him behind my right shoulder if you look closely, but here's a close up of what I was dealing with.

The dog did not bark, it did not move.  It just sat there....staring at me.  I have to tell you, it was a little disturbing.  When I finished my shots, I looked back over and he must of gotten bored with me because he was gone.  Phew.

Won't You Be My Neighbor?

I lay out all my clothes a couple of weeks in advance so I don't have to think when I get home from work.  Most of the time, it works for me, but some mornings I just don't want to wear what I had planned.  This morning was one of those days.  I threw this outfit together from stuff I had ironed, but never intended to pair together.  I was really pleased with the result, but I totally felt like Mr. Rodgers today.

Lawbreaker

I unknowingly broke a law in Ohio today.  Apparently, in Ohio, women are prohibited from wearing patent leather shoes in public in Ohio.  The reasoning?  So that men can't see reflections of the women's underwear in their shoes.  Men should keep their peepers to themselves because I enjoy myself a good pair of patent leathers, like the cobalt ones I wore today.  Breakin' the law!

Color Crazed

I am a massive sucker for clothing that is mismatched and when I saw this shirt at J Crew, I knew it was coming home with me.  Each part of this thing is a different color and/or pattern and the shirt honestly makes me happy!

I got behind on my posts again because life just gets in the way sometimes.  The shot after my color explosion is what I wore to work today.  The dress is really old and the blazer is new.  I think pairing the more conservative grey blazer toned down what is really a party dress (seriously, the thing has a crinoline).

The final post is what I wore to work yesterday.  I threw on the denim jacket because the shirt is really lightweight and I knew I'd freeze without it!

The Rain Upon My Head

Kira was in a soccer tournament this morning and it drizzled on us for about a half hour, was overcast the rest of the time and just plain damp.  My hair reflects the environment it was subjected to this morning and that is why it looks frightful.  Oh well!

Seahorses

Sorry about chopping my head off in my shots today.  I'm not sure what happened.

I love seahorses because they fascinate me.  All day, I kept wondering if there are any seahorses that can live in fresh water because I totally need them in my aquarium and I don't want to futz with a salt water aquarium.

This Week

This week I've been pulling out some of my older clothing and mixing it with a few newer pieces to change it up and I've been in the mood to wear dresses and skirts lately, that's why I've been a tad bit more professional than I normally try to pull off. I've been working longer days this week and honestly, dresses and skirts are more comfortable to wear all day.
