Tied Up In Bows

The dog is a camera hog.  I've known this about her for quite some time and yesterday morning, she decided to edge herself into the shot.  Oh well.

The first outfit is what I wore to work yesterday.  The second outfit is what I'm wearing today and the addition of the bow tie was inspired by a J Crew catalogue except my bow tie was a lot less expensive than the ones at J Crew.  I think I need one in gingham.  I'll have to hunt that down!

I'm going to try to post over the next few days, but I may not be able to.  I'm traveling to D.C. tomorrow through Wednesday for an accounting conference. Living wild.

Neighbors

The neighbors were out again this morning when I tried to take these shots.  I found if I hid the camera by the garage door, they couldn't see what I was doing.  Take that!

This is my newest jacket since I quit buying jackets due to the overcrowding situation in my closet.  I found it at Forever 21 and it was super cheap.  I am a huge fan of stripes and once I discovered this wasn't horribly cropped, I knew it was coming home with me.

Why

Why is it that your hair looks completely whacked when you schedule a hair appointment and then the day before the appointment, your hair decides to behave and look good?  I think it is a conspiracy.  Nevertheless, I'll be spending a chunk of tomorrow getting my hair colored, highlighted and cut.  Take that hair!

Change Artist

I had to change clothes today because I have an actual paying flute gig this afternoon and I need to wear a skirt.  So, today I have two relatively preppy outfits to show you.  The first is my "what is ironed that goes together in the closet" look and the second is something I actually ironed last night that I can get away with at the gig.  It's relatively low pressure because a) it's at church and b) it's for a 90 year old's birthday celebration mass.

I'm not sure either of these outfits will be repeated in the future, especially the skirt outfit because it's a bit dull, but you have to try new things!

Smiles and happy Saturday!

Emergency Surgery

Last night, my daughter was very upset because Raspberry the Monkey had a hole in his head.  It was a large hole and apparently the monkey was in pain.

One of my mommy skills is stuffed animal surgery, so after making sure the monkey wouldn't feel any pain, or bite me (verbal confirmation from Kira that the monkey wouldn't do that), I started sewing up his wounds.

Now, Raspberry is healed and the disaster was averted.  Phew!

It was a little cold today, but I really wanted us to wear these outfits.  So, we put them on and have been freezing ever since.  It doesn't seem to bother my daughter, but I was sold, so after church, I changed my top for a sweater and a jean jacket.  Now it's off to Chinese School.  Enjoy your Sunday!
