Twirly Bird

I bought this skirt at J Crew several weeks ago, but it's been way too cold to wear it.  Today, it was in the 30's and even though it's still cold, I decided I was tired of waiting.  The skirt is amazing.  It has a fluidity to it that other pleated skirts are missing and I think it's because of the color tipping on the pleats.  I paired it with the french hen sweater because I was feeling childish and whimsical this morning!

Two Day Shift

My new computer has drawn a following in the form of a small, almost ten year old child who is sitting on my lap as I type this.  It is getting very difficult to type with an almost ten year old on your lap who turns to stare at you while typing because said ten year old doesn't like what you are saying, coupled with giggling. The almost ten year old is not happy with her mom right now.  The last sentence was brought to us by the almost ten year old, who swatted my hands away from the keyboard to type.

Technology

I bought a new computer on Saturday and started setting it up Sunday night.  I think it was driving my husband crazy because when we got home from Best Buy, I let the thing sit in the box in my craft room until Sunday night.  He was amazed that I didn't immediately pounce on setting the thing up, but to be honest with you, technology scares me, so, it took me a full day to get up the nerve to crack the box open.  I charged the battery Sunday night and got down to business setting it up last night, that's why I didn't post.  I bought a touch screen laptop and it is so very different from my old computer, it's taken a bit of getting used to and I'm still not there yet.  Windows 8 is not very friendly.  Last night I got so mad because I couldn't get the stupid computer to talk to Picassa, where I store my photos for the blog and gave up and went and read a book.  Tonight, however, I got angry and decided this thing was going down.  Google is my friend and they hooked me up with how to download Picassa and set up a icon on my desktop.  I did this all without the help of Dave and I am quite proud of myself!!!

On a non technology related note, did you know if you wear all green to work close to St. Patrick's Day, you're gonna take a lot of crap from your co-workers?  Consider yourself warned.

Winterized

I always take my photos right before I walk out the door, so yesterday, I decided to take a picture with my coat and purse just to try something different.  I migrate towards a little more vibrant outerwear and my purse right now is insanely loud.  It's helping bring a little bit of sunshine to my day since the weather has been just awful lately.

Uncomfortable

It's not the outfit's fault, but all day long I was terribly uncomfortable wearing this.  The whole thing just made me feel icky.  When I got home tonight, I immediately put my fat clothes on, which consist of super big sweats.  Ahhhhhhhh.

Farewell Grass...It Was Nice While It Lasted

Thanks to a beautiful warm up, all the nasty, slushy snow has melted.  The temps were close to fifty today and lots of people were out and about enjoying the warmer weather.  It all ends tonight.  We're under yet another winter storm watch and we could get anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow coupled with ice between late tonight and early Monday morning.  It's a nasty little mess headed our way.  We Ohioans are sick and tired of this stuff and if we could go on strike to change things, I think the entire state would join in and walk the picket lines.

I dressed very casually today because I had a ton of errands to do plus I got my hair cut this afternoon.  I now have all the decorations for Kira's upcoming birthday party and went shopping.  I was trying to cram it all in before we're stuck at home tomorrow.
