You Look Like A Unicorn!

Today, I had a guest photographer taking my photos.  In the middle of the "shoot", Kira looks at me and says, "You look like a unicorn."  Huh?  So I asked for clarification and she said my hair was sticking straight up.   She stopped taking photos, had me bend down and then fixed my hair.  Looking at the earlier pictures, she was right.  She also took a picture of Dave after he went on a six mile run this morning.  It's intermittently raining here today and he got soaked.  That'll teach him to not tell me his route today because I would have went and picked him up.  Kira wanted me to show you the picture she took, so I included it here much to Dave's dismay.  Ha ha!

Daughter of Mine - Don't You Roll Your Eyes At Me



 

Kira is in a particular pain in the bottom mode tonight.  She's stomping around the house, huffing and being generally not nice.  I gave her homework corrections and as she walked away, she rolled her eyes at me.  Not very subtly either.  I've lost track of how many parentisms I've had to use since becoming a parent, but out from my mouth comes "Don't you roll your eyes at me!"  The retort..."I didn't!" (insert another huff and eye roll here).  Her dad has since taken over homework for the night.

 

On a lighter note, I loved my outfit today.  I'm a big fan of scarf prints and I'm so glad they are coming back.  Bouncing through Macy's, I happened upon this blouse, but Dave was with me, so I didn't buy it.  When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I ordered it online and I'm really glad I did.

Bright and Preppy

Yeah, I went over the top today.  Don't judge.

I may have mentioned a few times that I love stripes and that I love bright colors.  When you put the two together it is a must have acquisition for me.  Throw in bracelet that matches the buttons on my shirt and I start to shake with excitement.  Add in some matching nailpolish and it's on baby...it's on.

It doesn't show up too well in my photo, but the bracelet actually has little anchors on them. Amazingly enough, it didn't drive me nuts today.  I thought it might because I wear bracelets on my right hand and it tends to get in the way of the mouse, or annoys me when I'm taking notes in meetings.  I'm happy to say that this little thing stayed on all day!!!!

Sunday is Turning Out MUCH Better than Saturday!

Our day today has started out a lot better than yesterday.  We found Spot, and while he's definitely not going to live, we know where to retrieve the body from.  Yucky, but at least the mystery is solved.

Also, we found a camera charger at Best Buy, so I didn't have to buy a new camera.
