Kira started taking vitamins again because she doesn't drink milk and her orange juice probably isn't   cutting it for her daily dose of calcium.  She started taking Flintstone's vitamins and she's fascinated with the characters.  I tend to forget that she's only maybe seen the Flintstones once in her life because that was my favorite cartoon as a kid.  Who are we kidding, I'd schedule my college classes around the show.  I'd lose about an hour a day getting sucked into the silly world of Bedrock.  Tonight, we had to explain that the boy vitamin was Bam Bam and he got his name because of how he slammed his club.  I even demonstrated.  Now Kira thinks I'm nuts.  It was time she learned that!

The Big Day

Today's Kira's birthday slumber party.  She's in rare form behavior wise today, so I hope she gets it all out of her system before her friends arrive tonight.  We have to finish cleaning and then set up the activities after Kira's soccer game this afternoon.  I may not be posting tomorrow because I have a feeling I won't be sleeping tonight!  Have a great weekend!

Black Friday

In honor of black Friday and the fact that there is no way I'm venturing out shopping until very much later today, I decided to post a pix without my glasses AND to put on some lipstick.  Fancy...I know.  Kira is standing here telling  me I should have worn black to go with my blog title.  Oh well, missed opportunities.

I stopped wearing lipstick my senior year in high school when my then boyfriend, now husband, refused to kiss me in between classes if I was wearing lipstick.  So, bye bye lipstick.

I paused to take a peek at the pictures and noticed I was squinting.  There's a reason I wear glasses!!!
