Truly Enjoying the Early Spring
I really hope that winter doesn't come back in April. I am loving wearing all my capris right now. My workplace is business casual, so even though I'm an accountant, I can get away with a little more pizzaz in my wardrobe than I'd be able to if I worked in public accounting. You can't see it in the picture, but my shoes have polka dotted bows on them.
I'm off to continue baking my daughter's birthday cake for her party Saturday. The thing is massive and is taking forever to bake!

Denim Daze
I bought these pants when I was home recuperating from surgery and sulking over how nothing fit because of the swelling. I was a little nervous when they came because they are soooo very yellow. It took almost three months before I was able to wear these (swelling) and I'm getting my mileage out of them. They are extremely festive. I remember the neon craze of the '80's quite well and I'm enjoying the more toned down version this go round. The polka dot shoes are just fun to wear. The little bow on them makes them extra special. A friend pointed out that the dots in my shoe matched my bracelet. I honestly didn't do that on purpose!

Ahoy Matey
I love this outfit! The inspiration for it was an Ann Taylor Loft catalogue, but they paired a much too short for me cobalt skirt with it. I'm not super conservative for an accountant, but I draw the line at showing parts of my bottom at work, so I substituted the skirt with these pants from Ann Taylor.
I got my stripes in without going the standard navy blue and white route. It was a good day. Plus, my back is starting to ease up, so I don't look as hunched over as I have been. Maybe the week will turn out good!

Floral Monday
I wasn't planning on wearing these shoes today, but I have a pinched sciatic nerve and heels seemed like I'd be asking for trouble. I pinched it by sitting on bleachers for three and a half hours at Kira's gymnastics meet. I can even tell in these pictures I'm favoring my back. Yes, that is pitiful, but I am a broken woman.
Anyway, I enjoyed my outfit today. It made me feel like spring is here to stay. The blouse is from Ebay and it is matches several things I already own. The jacket was 40% off at Talbots (they keep sending me coupons!), and the pants were also 40% off from the Limited (also more coupons!) My necklace is all turquoise and was handmade. I bought it at the Dayton FCC's Chinese New Year party and this is the first time I've found something to wear with it. I have a really hard time matching up turquoise, but I love the color.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday!

Day to Relax (Sort Of)
Since Kira didn't get any sleep yesterday and her meet went until after 9 p.m. last night, we decided to let her sleep in and she and I skipped church (bad us...bad us). She's still going to Chinese school with Dave, but I have to run to the grocery store and run a couple of other boring errands (like getting gas), so I wanted to wear something comfortable today. I just bought the Sperry's this week and I have to say, they are pretty comfortable shoes.
For being exhausted, Kira did awesome at the meet. She placed third on beam and vault, and sixth place overall. Her team also came in first in the Bunny Hop Invitational. Not bad for her first judged meet!

Happy St. Patty's!
My daughter spent the night at the gym, so I enlisted my hubby to take my pictures this morning. It was a bit chilly, but it's supposed to be in the mid 70's today, so I broke out the spring clothes. The jacket is from Ann Taylor, but it's very very old. Since I've lost some weight, I'm pleased to say it fits now without looking like I'm going to bust out of it!
My daughter has a gymnastics meet tonight and she informed me she fell asleep at 2:30 a.m., so I'm not sure how this is all going to go down this evening. She may fall asleep on the beam! Trying to keep her from expending too much energy has been a nightmare today, as evidenced by her beam pix above.

Minty Fresh
I am loving all the mint green clothes for spring. Green is my favorite color and I adore mint! After I got to work, I thought maybe I went a little over the top on matching the shoes to my top, but I don't care! I felt like wearing more down to earth shoes and these were it (it was that or the polka dotted converse).
Thanks to my friend Deb who took this picture for me! I had to drop my daughter off at daycare and I arrived later than normal. People were in the bathroom and I felt funny taking pictures with people in there. So, Deb came to my rescue!
