Sunday Sparkle

 I am not sparkly today, but Kira sure is.  She refused to let me take a picture of her this morning to show you just how shiny she is, but she was nice enough to take some shots outside of me!

Another busy day on tap including getting Kira ready for her first day of third grade tomorrow, church, a soccer game and apparently I will be cooking dinner this evening.  I don't cook.  I hope I don't accidentally poison my family!

The Dog is Staring At Me

I'm sitting here minding my own business, surfing the internet, killing time until I leave for church and the dog has taken it upon herself to sit and stare at me.  Yeah, stare.  It's disconcerting.  She doesn't need to go outside, she has water, it's not time to eat, so STOP STARING AT ME!  There's two other people and three fish in this house - go stare at them!

 I scored this tunic at Talbots yesterday on super sale.  I didn't need it, but I loved the colors and it was marked down 30% and then another 55% on top of that.  This and many more aquisitions made there way home with me and Kira yesterday.  I also bought an electric pencil sharpener which I now have to return TWICE.  The first time, the case was cracked when we opened it.  The second time, it stopped sharpening after 12 pencils (we had to sharpen 40 pencils for Kira's school supply list).  It was kind of expensive, so I'm taking the sharpener back.  It seriously failed to do the job I purchased it for.  Oh well, worse things can happen!

Happy Fourth of July!

I don't like dressing for holidays, so I drug out the neon today.  We're keeping it very low key and indoors today because Kira's asthma has been acting up and we don't want to exacerbate it by going outside.  So, they are currently playing Uno and we're going to an indoor playland later today.  Hurray go karts!  I just hope Kira's tall enough to go on them because I'm feeling like racing today.

Spot the Goldfish Is Missing

 I'm having a "day" today.  First of all, my husband has been cleaning out our room addition and he threw away my camera charger.  Now, I have to go purchase another camera because the charger is half as expensive as the charger and they are out of stock at Sony, so I couldn't even get one until we're back from vacation.  Grrr.

Next, I went to go feed the fish today and and Spot the goldfish is missing and presumed dead.  Literally missing.  I can't find his body anywhere in the tank.  Dave looked, we took the lid off to see if he somehow jumped up, got stuck on the inside and died, and nothing.  Dave researched if goldfish eat other goldfish and with the size they are, that isn't a possibility.  So this afternoon, I have to go dump the filter and see if somehow he's trapped in there.  It is really really weird.

I'm hoping my day perks up because it's not been the best start to a Saturday.

Sparkly Soccer Mom

Saturday is always busy at our house.  Kira had guitar lessons this morning and then we raced off to her soccer practice.  These pictures were taken at Hauer Music by my lovely husband while we sat outside Kira's practice room. At soccer, I noticed I was the only mom wearing sparkly shoes.  Oh well, the other mom's are missing out.
