Lifesaver Variety Pack, Part 2

Technically, this skirt was with the late summer line from Talbots, but I think it looks a little fall like too.  I own the shirt that matches this skirt, and it all reminds me of a pack of lifesavers.  I love it, though!  I forgot I owned it until this weekend and thought, why not?

Currently, we have a homework battle going on in our house.  Kira has a ridiculous amount of work to get done tonight.  I'm not opposed to homework, but two hours a night for an 8 year old is way too much and by this point in the evening, she starts to feel tired and it goes downhill.  It would be one thing if we didn't work, but we do and it's a strain on the whole family.  Dave is much more patient than I am, so he's handling it right now.

I Recognize You Cause of Your Shoes

 I was in the bathroom at lunch today and when I went to the sink to wash my hands, a lady from HR was in there and said "I knew that was you.  I knew you had to be the person wearing those shoes!"  I asked, is that a good thing?  And she started laughing and said Yes!  I also showed up at the soccer field wearing this outfit.  I took a lot of ribbing about being the most over dressed person at the fields.  What can I say?  I didn't want to miss the start of the game and didn't have time to change.  By the way, Kira's school kicked St. Peter's butt!  Go Eagles!

Back to Normal

It's back to normal clothing...no sweatshirts today.

 

I threw this outfit together last night for church and ironed it this morning.  I wore it most of the day because it was really comfortable.

In the Pink

 I'm a sucker for pleats and when I saw this sweater on sale at Brooks Brothers, I knew it was coming home with me.  Bonus, it matches a lot of stuff in my closet.

We had a casual day for charity today, so I busted out the denim capris to go with this.  Casual days in the middle of week cause me issues because I never want to go back to wearing dress clothes the next day.  Oh well, not much choice in the matter!

Striped!

 I'm planning the outfits Kira and I are going to wear on vacation and I noticed I own an overwhelming amount of striped stuff.   I just can't help myself, I love stripes.  Especially navy blue ones!  I even ironed a striped dress to wear later this week, but I may save it until next week.

I received numerous compliments on this outfit today, so I think I'll have to bust it out again at some point!
