35 Degree Thunderstorm

It was pouring down rain on my drive to work today when I saw a flash of light.  For a second, I thought, seizure and then I heard the thunder.  I looked at my car's thermometer and it was 35 degrees outside.  The closer I got to Cincinnati, the worse the storm got and there was cloud to ground lightening.  Still, at 35 degrees.  That is wrong.  Very very very wrong.

5 a.m.

Sorry for the blury pictures today, but I had assistance and my photographer is a bit sleepy today.  We all had to get up early for Kira's gymnastics meet and I've been up since 5 this morning.  We were a little worried how short stuff was going to perform today because mornings are not her time to shine,  but she surprised us.  She place first on beam, second on bars, fifth on vault and third all around.  She had a wedgy during her floor routine and that knocked her off her game.  I don't blame her...wedgies are annoying!

And She Brought It

Kira had a super busy day yesterday with a soccer game in the morning and a gymnastics meet all afternoon.  I was a little worried that she would be pooped for the meet, but she brought her A game yesterday.  In her age group, she placed first on floor, first on bars, fourth on beam and sixth on vault.  The most wonderful score was she placed first in all around.  She was beaming from ear to ear and we are so proud of her.  The best thing is, her bar routine was the best I've ever seen her perform and her walk out onto the floor for her floor routine looked so professional.

Happy Saturday!

 Another busy Saturday.  Lots of errands and we're going to lunch with my family to celebrate my dad's and my niece's birthdays.  Then, I have to do a little work, Kira is going to parent's night out at the gym and Dave and I are probably going grocery shopping.  We're living on the edge here in Ohio today.  By the way, my eye still hurts.  It feels like something is stuck in it and it's giving me a headache.

 The dog is waiting for me to finish so she can get a milkbone.

Back to Normal

It's back to normal clothing...no sweatshirts today.

 

I threw this outfit together last night for church and ironed it this morning.  I wore it most of the day because it was really comfortable.

New Obsession - Mint Green

I love love love love the color mint green.  The only problem is, I think I need an intervention.  I have 2 pairs of khaki mint green capris, 1 pair of denim mint green capris, and 2 pair of mint green jeans.   That doesn't even begin to cover the mint green cardigans and blouses.  Some may say I only need one of each of the above. However,  in my world, each aquisition was justified.  I'm a sucker for pastels and I don't care what season it is, I'm wearing pastels.  I like what I like!

The capris above were recently added to my collection.  I was scanning Old Navy's website in search of some golden denim and came across these.  They were reasonably priced and they fit well and are super soft.  I did find the yellow denim and it was added to the collection as well.
