What Do Target and Pajamas Have in Common?

I wore my pajamas to Target last night. Yes, you heard me. I walked out of my house, in my pajamas about 8:30 last night, drove to Target, walked to the housewares department, picked up 2 cupcake pans and a spatula, walked to the cashier, paid for them and drove back home. In.My.Pajamas. It's Dave's fault. He threw away my cupcake pans (yeah, grrrr) and I discovered it last night when I went to wash them. I was so angry, I didn't bother changing before running out to get replacment pans. The entire time I was walking around Target, I kept thinking, "I bet people would be really surprised that I post pictures of my outfits every day and that fashion is very important to me." I was wearing polka dot pajama bottoms if that makes any difference!  On the bright side, disaster averted, I baked three batches of cupcakes tonight for Kira's party tomorrow and I think things are in a good position that it shouldn't be too stressful putting the final touches on everything.

Happy Birthday Baby

 

Today is my baby girl's ninth birthday.  I can't believe how big she's getting!  The festiveness you see in the background is for her birthday.  I think I'm done decorating for the party, but tonight I have to make a lot of icing for the cupcakes the girls are going to decorate at her party on Sunday.

Darker

Dave helped me get one of my light boxes put together last night and it actually made the rooom darker for these photos.  I think I'm going to have to put together the other two lights and then stage Kira and the dog and see if I can get it any lighter in here.  You'd think a 500 watt light bulb would do the trick, but apparently not.  Oh well.

I had a Tax Board meeting tonight and then rushed home to decorate for Kira's birthday.  I've posted more photos of the chaos for your viewing pleasure!

The box in the left corner is one of Kira's birthday gifts.  They put the name of the company on the box and Kira intercepted the mail before I got to it.  At least she doesn't know what's in the box.

Demi Rose

Kira told me to tonight to name my blog Demi Rose.  When I asked her why, she said it was because my jacket was rose colored and she has a friend named Demi.  My response, "Does your friend look like my jacket?"  The retort, "Yes, yes she does."  Hard to argue with that logic.  So, in honor of Demi, here's my jacket.

This is the candy bar I've set up for Kira's slumber party on Saturday.  Things are coming together finally.  The bouquet is about 180 dum dum suckers.  For 6 girls.  I hope they are hungry!

Full disclosure - I wore this sweater yesterday.  I'm wearing it again today. It was ironed.  It matched my outfit. Don't judge.

I am so very stressed out this week because Kira's big slumber party is this weekend and I thought I was going to be able to take Friday off from work and I can't do that now.  I rearranged my whole week in about 5 minutes today and I have tasks slated for each night that I have to accomplish in order to get all this stuff done.  I brought this on myself, but things are starting to take shape and the house is looking pretty darn festive.

Color Blocking Run Amuck

It is really pleasant outstide today, so I took some time and went outside to snap these shots.  Most of

the snow has melted, but the rain moves in tonight.  Oh well, it's almost Spring!

5 a.m.

Sorry for the blury pictures today, but I had assistance and my photographer is a bit sleepy today.  We all had to get up early for Kira's gymnastics meet and I've been up since 5 this morning.  We were a little worried how short stuff was going to perform today because mornings are not her time to shine,  but she surprised us.  She place first on beam, second on bars, fifth on vault and third all around.  She had a wedgy during her floor routine and that knocked her off her game.  I don't blame her...wedgies are annoying!
